Unique Tonometer Diaton is presented at European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) meeting in the city of Berlin, Germany. Trans-scleral and Trans-palpebral (through the Eyelid) Tonometry lets surgeons determine Intra-Ocular Pressure (IOP) shortly after surgery. Glaucoma does not discriminate. Everyone should be screened for glaucoma. Elevated intraocular pressure (eye pressure) is the major risk factor for glaucoma. Lions Clubs International Conduct Glaucoma Screenings and Educational Events with BiCOM’s Diaton Tonometer

BiCOM Inc. in conjunction with The Lions Clubs held an educational/screening event to detect and prevent glaucoma using hand held tonometer Diaton which screens through the eyelid without use of anesthetic drops. The event was very successful, and the Lions Club members learned how to further their attempts to educate and screen the public in order to prevent blindness. Lions Club members are planning to add painless Diaton tonometry to their health screening events.
